CAS International (Comité Anti Stierenvechten) is the biggest organization in the world which works exclusively on the abolition of bullfighting and cruel fiestas (festivals) during which bulls and other animals are tortured. Together with our colleague organizations, we want to end this animal abuse as soon as possible.

Bullfighting
Bullfighting is one of the most cruel forms of animal abuse. Every year, more than 250,000 bulls and cows are tortured and killed worldwide during bullfights and similar events.
Also during fiestas ('village festivals'), tens of thousands of bulls and other animals are severely maltreated.

Letters for tourists
Many shop owners in the bullfighting countries still sell bullfighting souvenirs, because they think tourists like these souvenirs. Many bars and restaurants still promote bullfighting by hanging bull's heads, posters and other bullfighting propaganda on their walls. CAS International always lets them know that tourists do not like bullfighting. We would appreciate it if you would do the same, in a polite manner. If you don't speak Spanish, Portuguese and/or French, you can use the letters below:
- Letter for tourists who visit Spain or Latin America and would like to let owners of a shop, bar or restaurant know that they do not appreciate the promotion of bullfighting.
- Letter for tourists who visit Portugal.
- Letter for tourists who visit France.
General translation: "I do not speak your language, but I think it is a pity you promote bullfighting. I am not part of a minority. On the contrary, a majority of the people is against bullfighting and torturing animals does not belong to the 21st century".

The main tip: never go to a bullfight or a cruel fiesta, like the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona!
